Where to stay for youth hockey tournaments

From November through March, youth hockey tournaments fill rinks in Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead most weekends. Teams come from across North Dakota, Minnesota and Manitoba, and parents plan around early game times and long days at the rink.

Many hockey families book a whole house together. It puts the team under one roof, gives everyone a kitchen for 7 a.m. games, and leaves room for the players between games and after the last period. Splitting a large house among several families often costs less than a hotel room each.

Because games are spread across several rinks, the places below are sorted by straight-line distance from downtown Fargo, which is central to the metro. Check your tournament schedule, then compare the venue distances on each listing. South Fargo and West Fargo have many of the larger houses with room for several families.

Look for listings with enough beds for everyone, parking for several vehicles, and a space where gear can dry. Availability is not shown here yet; check your dates on each listing, or ask the host about booking direct where a host has claimed their page.
