December to January
When North Dakota State earns home playoff games, the FCS postseason comes to the Fargodome in late November and December. The schedule is set round by round, so visiting fans and NDSU supporters from out of town often have only a few days to find a place to stay.
That short window is when a short-term rental can help. Hotels near the dome and along I-29 fill quickly once a game is announced, while houses and apartments spread across the metro may still be open.
The places below are sorted by straight-line distance from the Fargodome. North Fargo and downtown Fargo are the closest. South Fargo and West Fargo are a longer drive but have more large houses for groups.
December in Fargo means cold mornings and snow on the ground, so look for listings with off-street parking or a garage, and plan for a little extra time getting to the game. Availability is not shown here yet; check your dates on each listing, or ask the host about booking direct where a host has claimed their page.

Home playoff games are set after each round, usually in late November and December. Dates and kickoff times are announced about a week ahead, so watch the NDSU athletics site.
Start looking as soon as the bracket is out, and check whole-house rentals as well as hotels. Places a few miles from the dome often still have openings after the closest ones are taken.
Roads are cleared quickly, but snow and cold are normal. A place with a garage or off-street parking makes game days easier.
